Geneva ecosystem catalyzing solutions for the SDGs in the Global South
We are excited to share that Accelerate2030 will be hosting a session during Innovate 4 Water marketplace in Geneva!
This session aims to present the Accelerate2030 and Impact Hub model of connecting the Geneva ecosystem with ecosystems across the globe in order to scale the most promising solutions for the SDGs, looking particularly in the topic of financing entrepreneurial solutions from the Global South that use the circular economy approach in solving pressing global challenges. The session will give an insight into the ecosystem-building approach of Accelerate2030.
Launched out of Geneva in 2016, Accelerate2030 has become the world’s leading global program for scaling entrepreneurial solutions towards the SDGs. The program was co-initiated by Impact Hub and UNDP, supported by SDC since 2019, and has collaborated with over 200 international partner organizations. Over the past 5 years, Accelerate2030 has been implemented across 33 countries in Africa, Asia, Latam, Eastern Europe, attracting 3100+ applications, supporting nearly 500 entrepreneurs.
The session will include partners and important stakeholders from the Geneva ecosystem, and will also feature successful program alumni, to discuss concrete case studies, as well as the opportunities and challenges in activating this vibrant ecosystem in channeling more funding for the SDGs in the Global South.
