Last March 8th, DONA coffee was launched in Switzerland. DONA sources high quality Specialty Coffee uniquely and exclusively from women-owned coffee farms. Its founder, Elisa Dot Bach, who had a career in coffee at Nestlé, was motivated to create a coffee company that reflected her values, a company with a purpose at core.

She was impressed to discover that women are largely invisible in the coffee industry: 70% of the work done in the field to make our cup of coffee is carried out by women, but only a very small percentage of the coffee farms are owned by them. And the motivation to change this situation is DONA’s mission: to recognize, support, and celebrate the great work of women in the coffee farms and inspire others to follow.
