COP26 and Sustainable Food – How can we create a sustainable future with food?

About this event

The UN Climate Change Conference, COP26, is taking place in Glasgow on 31 October – 12 November 2021. World leaders, politicians, businesses, social enterprises, schools and people will partake in the world’s largest climate conversation.

It is no secret that we are in a race against time to tackle the global climate crisis. A topic that will be on everyone’s lips at COP26 is our global food supply chain. In 2019 it was reported that a third of global emissions come from food systems.

So what can we do about this?

Join us on Thursday 18th November as guest speakers Richard Jones, Sarah Mackenzie and Hugh Fullerton-Smith from GroforGood and Farmer Jones Academy discuss the future of sustainable food and the work they are already doing to support this. They will be covering food sustainability, buying local, Aquaponics and educating the next generation about where their food comes from and how they can get involved in the food industry.

An event co-organised by Impact Hubs Berlin, Inverness, Islington, Hamburg, King’s Cross and Vienna.
