Harpalium Initiative and Impact Hub Geneva, two entities carrying out concrete actions for the resolution and support of the 2030 Agenda, join in a collaboration to create conferences on Innovations for the SDGs. The main topic will be the use of Blockchain technology on SDGs-compliant projects.

For our first event in view of the Climathon, we will focus on exploring the use of Blockchain technology on climate change related projects, their regulations and governance.

About our Experts:

 

Jean-Marc Seigneur is director of the blockchain certificate of advanced studies at the University of Geneva. He obtained his PhD on computational trust at Trinity College in Dublin in 2005 and HDR on augmented human trust at Reims Hospital University in 2018. He has been the principal investigator at the University of Geneva of many multi-million funded EU projects, in charge especially of trust, privacy and security. He has published more than 140 scientific publications in the field of decentralised trust. He teaches online reputation to Medi@LAB Master students and blockchain and digital trust to HEPIA engineers students.

 

Jörn Erbguth is a consultant on blockchain and data protection (GDPR) Head of Technology Insights at Geneva Macro Labs. With majors in computer science and law, he takes a multidisciplinary approach to new technology. He is an enabler of privacy by design where legal and technological aspects need to be tightly integrated. Jörn previously worked as a software developer, a product manager and was head of ICT and CTO for legal information systems in Germany and Switzerland.

 

Christopher Mbanefo describes himself as a humble seeker of wisdom and peace. As an innovator and entrepreneur, he combines more than 30 years in multidisciplinary activities. He is a highly qualified aerospace engineer and professional pilot. He is the Founder and CEO of the aviation design firm YASAVA Solutions SA, as well as the Founder and CEO of OXÏ-ZEN Solutions LLC.

 

Marianne T. Schoerling is a global health sociologist, working at the intersection of policy analysis, strategy design and community engagement. Today she bring leading minds, techs and non-techs, together at the Geneva Macro Labs, a do tank focusing on developing actionable solutions for a sustainable future. As a multilingual, certified Impact Analyst, she co-design impact towards the 2030 Agenda.

 

Stéphanie Lelaurin is a Blockchain for Impact specialist and a Business Empowerment coach. She is currently structuring an Impact Fund combined with a Venture Builder to accelerate the Green Recovery of Latin America. She collaborates with ACDI NGO and the Interamerican Development Bank as a Blockchain and Financial Empowerment consultant to lead the DeFi4GreenRecovery Challenge in the El Gran Chaco region. She was Chief of Staff and VP of Financial Empowerment Programs at IOVLabs, the RSK Blockchain company that built the first DeFi on Bitcoin Ecosystem.
