Guided visit of a lighthouse project and workshops with the practitioners. 

Together with the sanitation experts an-eco, architects atba and the cooperative équilibre, VaLoo invites architects and interested professionals to it’s first thematic Workshop.

Equilibre, a housing cooperative in Geneve, is a Swiss pioneer, pushing the definition of sustainable construction to include various social aspects and wastewater management as well. For example, at Soubeyran, a building with 38 flats, the wastewater is treated on-site using vermifiltration. Treated water is then used for toilet flushing and garden irrigation.

Why is such sustainable sanitation important in Swiss cities? How can resource oriented sanitation help us improve wastewater treatment? What are the social challenges and requirements for circular santiaton to be implemented? What are the architectural implications of circular saniation?

We are looking forward to discussing these questions during an informative and interactive workshop with you!
