Circular Economy Innovation and the EU Green Deal
Approved in early 2020, the EU Green Deal set the objective for Europe to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, resulting in a cleaner environment, more affordable energy, smarter transport, new jobs and an overall better quality of life for citizens.
Two years into the plan, what do we already know about what this means for businesses in practice, specifically those focusing on the circular economy? Policy shifts have a big impact on collaborations between startups and corporates, investment opportunities and fast-streaming innovative projects.

As convener of the Circular Together incubator programme for circular economy ventures in Berlin, Impact Hub Berlin shares a key interest in this ecosystem.
